Eat, poop and grow. That's a chick's only job. The first thing leads inevitably to the other two. At first I was kind of horrified, wondering whether grown chickens would poop this much. I was relieved to discover that they don't. Good thing, too, or my compost pile would be about a mile tall by now.

I pick my roo up every time he attacks me and he hasn't pooed of farted on me yet. It's probably because he does not fear me.

Okay, I have to post this: My husband was sitting by the brooder and all of a sudden said "Ew, which one of you girls tooted? That stinks!" My 5yo son nearly knocks me over as he runs over saying "Let me smell!"

Needless to say, I was horrified. Boys.
