Faverolles Bred back to Dorking project

This is "Barry White" (never let a spouse name your pets LOL) and one of his yet unnamed girls. Barry has HUGE thighs and carries plenty of flesh on his carcass and breast. He is a tad more feisty than the Favs and managed to break a claw trying to get Red to fight with him, Red had been ignoring him and he seems much calmer now than he was 2 days ago. The Dorkings are slightly longer in frame than the Favs and they are a bit lower on their legs. All 3 of the Dorks are nice meaties. I will have a long road with the combs for a few years, but these guys do have some straight comb (and colored) behind them so it won't be too bad I think. This will be the only picture I post of these guys as their babies will be much more interesting... I will weigh and measure them sometime soon when they settle in better.

I have some eggs listed on Poultry Swap USA in the forum section- I will only be selling eggs for a short amount of time while everyone gets used to the roo they are now partnered with. Previously they all were running together (NOT the Dorkings) with 7 girls to 4 boys so fertility is excellent right now... I just won't know who the daddy is LOL

Will see what I can do, I have 3 3 week old chicks (pullets I think) that were sired by the other Merlin roo who I sadly no longer have... will try to get some photos for you. These chicks are the first of the 2 lines being put together : )

OK so these pictures will all be of the same chick, one of the left foot (slightly better), one of my hand next to her for size comparison and two of the chick alone, one more relaxed than the other. The chick does have a beard but it is rather short- hoping it will come in bigger as she grows.

More of Miami as requested

He was not the top dog when the flock was together and he occasionally would give Black Jack a hard time and suffer the consequences. He was eventually permitted by BJ to be his second in command and was even allowed to mate hens in BJ's presence... but not before losing some tail/saddle feathers. I like him but not as much as "Vice" the roo I lost. I would like to see better wing color on this bird, slightly smaller/more balanced tail and a longer body... otherwise he is quite nice
