Faverolle's heat tolerance?

It was. I lost them during the time the temp was over 100 for several days. They were in an open air coop/pen (covered dog run panels), but it was just too much for them unfortunately. I think they would have been fine if it wasn't for the 100+ stretch of days.

I did bring the orp girls in during the worst days, watered pens that helped. They had a hard time with it. Lost an astralorp to it. :(

We had some really hot weather again this year and my young Faverolles was fine - lots of people have them here where we spend most of the summer well over 30c and often days over 40c. I do however have deep shade in summer where the coop and run is - it is the coolest part of the garden. Not sure how much harder it is to keep them cool in an unshaded area with only tarps etc as that is not the same sort of shade in terms of temps at all.

I've had Faverolles in my flock for 10 years or more. I've never lost one to heat or cold and we have plenty of both here in Wyoming. I've only had hens but they usually live 5 or 6 years. They are real sweethearts. :love
That is so nice to hear :D , my girl Chloe is starting to get less terrified of me as she gets over that 'I'm a small chick you huge monster' thing and she is quite friendly and sweet.
