So I am taking and entomology course and a few of the girls have lice..... Obviously I am treating them to kill the lice but in the meantime I decided to collect some. One of the pullets I got from Dick sat in my lap for 30 minuets while I picked at her with tweezers to try and collect the quick little lice. Got enough and finally put her away. But she was so well behaved. Gotta love that faverolles personality.

I wish I could be useful here, but unless they are going to Martha's Vineyard or Nantucket there is not much I can do unless I happen to be traveling... be happy to help anyone between where I live and Virginia next week when I head down there though.

We're almost in the same sort of situation - living up here in the NW corner of the universe doesn't help many people

I love home too, there truly is no place like home - where ever that may be

Geez Henry, I know you needed some entomology samples, but we could have found you something more attractive!

Haha. I got some great stuff in Maine don't worry. Its good though because I will be the only person in my class with Poultry lice! We are aloud to trade people our rare finds if we have extras so I got some extras incase anyone wants to trade. There were both regular "Poultry lice" and Feather eating lice. Pretty gross but also interesting. My treatment today killed a lot of them but not all of them. So I will get some Sevin to dust them with tomorrow.
