No luck. Didn't find a Blueberry Hill in the photo gallery. Found a picture labeled Mahogany in the Comer's Poultry page but it was very small and pixelated something awful when expanded in the slide show.

Bruce

Bruce they are in my "Ladies of the Hill" photo album and some are in "Roosterville". I have a small flock and am making slow progress in darkening the color. Hoping to see darker results this spring.

Here are a few pictures of two mahogany males and a light mahogany hen

That's great Dick! How are they looking type-wise?

Here are some pics of my blacks:

I think they need some work on their shape though. They are more round than trapezoidal. Great toes and beards though. Dick, the cockerel is from the eggs you sent me and he is HUGE! He wouldn't stand still long enough for me to get a good pic of him. If the sunny weather holds out, maybe I can get out of the shop long enough to snap a few pics of him as well as my mahogany project birds. I ended up keeping a cockerel and pullet of yours, a Merlin pullet and hatched two pullets worth keeping from my own birds so have a decent group to work with next spring.

Somehow, I just can't bring myself to have dorks in my flock. Some of my chickens are weird enough already!

I have several "dorks" in my flocks! No Dorkings though, lol.

The large blacks are looking great. All colors still need work.....there is no perfect chicken, it's just something we strive for.
