Faverolles Thread

Hi,

If anyone is interested I have posted some of the indestructable Faverolles eggs in the auction.

If I am right in my guessing I have 4 cockerels and 3 pullets all salmons or blue salmons don't worry its fine with me! I am defently ok with it wish I got some whites but thats fine because honestly don't have enough room to keep to many of these. I am probably going to keep the pullets as egg layers unless I get something amazing from them and then I will keep a pair of trio. I could be wrong a few othe them are still feathering out but 4 have black wingtips and 3 have whitish/brownish.

thank you for the info Peter. were you ever able to get any chicks from that white dorking hen? if she did have chicks were there other colors besides whites and salmons produced? we have a local farm that raises the white dorkings, but knowing that there is already white faverolles running about i may not work with that color at the moment.

I agree with Peter, it is BEST to start with what we have right now instead of crossing with a breed that ALREADY out there. It may be hard to find but not impossible. Give it a shot.
