See the first cockerel? Is that dark area in his hackle undesired? Over all, his color is much better then my other males, but the 2nd picture cockerel has a cleaner hackle. Which is better?

Which one of these roosters is better show quality I have a rooster that looks just like the first one only with a more yellow Hakle and saddle feathers the second rooster also has a fused fifth toe

Yes I have Faverolles. LF Salmon, Bantam Salmon, Bantam Blue, Bantam Black and Bantam Buff.
Also these 2 are mine. Fudge and Peaches. From Cloverleaf Farm.

Those smudges are permissible and not penalized

Thank you so much. Do you know if roosters with smudged produce darker hens, or smudged offspring? Or is it just a fluke with in just that cockerel I have?

Not certain how it works genetically...
Maybe it is linked to the backwards feathers some hens get in their side hackles.

Does anyone here have salmon Faverolles eggs they would ship to VA??? I ordered some and they arrived......bantam sized. The person never indicated anywhere they were bantams! Oh Well.....will htch those anyway but I still need large ones...not bantams.
