i've been hoarding eggs from Apollo and his girls this week, up to 7 eggs saved so far! here's hoping Zeus (aka Big Papa) and his girl will give me a couple more eggs before i go and set them all! and it looks like Mosey is attempting to get cozy with Kiva, so here's hoping i will get some pure eggs from that pair soon too!

here's hoping i can get Chloe to go broody for me again! if she won't i'm sure one of my cochins may do it for me!

I finally got pics of my new guys... with their hatchery quality girls til I get better girls... 2 big questions at the end....

Claudel & his ladies at night (he guards the door, so nice! He has a Cuckoo Marans hen in there who begged to live with him, hehe)

Fractious Germain Faverolle (the Buffington roo who bites me if he gets a chance)

Germain guarding the door for his lady, Gryff (I thought she might be mahogany, but she just has black splashes)

Questions....1) they both have a bit of light color in the beard... might this go away with moult?

2) Germain has a dusky color to tha back of his comb unless he's active... could it be that the comb is so huge he can't oxygenate it? Could it mean something else?
