Hi all.
I wanted to drop by and update you again. I have been so busy that I haven't had time to post on here. It's raining today, so I found a little break. As of now, I have 20 faverolles chicks on the ground and another 53 eggs in the incubator and I plan on hatching out another 100 large fowl and then I'll just hatch bantams until fall. I have Large: Salmon, White, Black, and Blue and bantams: Salmon, White, Black, Blue, Buff, and Blue Salmon. I just got my large brooder somewhat working so now I can hatch a lot more out at once. For those of you that don't know, I also have quite a few other breeds so I hatch a bunch. Right now I probably only have about 350 to 400 chicks on the ground and 150 ducklings. Plus I have about 400 eggs in the bator and I have two more incubators I don't even have running yet. I can't wait until fall when I get into full swing. I like to hatch my large fowl birds out from November to March and then just hatch bantams so they have plenty of time to grow. Usually I never hatch Large birds this late in the year. On a side note, I am looking forward to attending the Faverolles national meet this year in Illinois and hope to see some of you there. Well, I had better get back to work.
