Before you leave, can you take pics of the splash. Just wondering how they are looking.

Yep I will try and do it tomorrow. My camera is out of charge now. They look good to me happy as clams to be out free ranging again. I just got a chance to look over the chicks they look good. One pretty white splash pullets who has a lot of nice splashing but not much leg feathering. There is one black and one blue cockerel that look amazing I am really excited to show them to you very thick boys with huge full beards!

Henry

How is the featherin on the legs of the blue and black?

Here are the chicks just remember this is the awkward teenage stage and beards look sparse during this stage in development
Here is a little blue pullet who has some white around her eyes it will probably molt out I have a younger pullet who has it as well

Here is my #1 cockerel so far a big black guy 5 point comb and a nice beard with good toes and feathering. The lighting in the pictures makes him look dark blue but I don't think he is.

I also have a a few blues that could be cockerels or pullets and two decent blue cockerels to choose from so all in all a good showing for hatching only 10 chicks. I know I need to wait at least another couple months to see how they turn out.

The 1st black will probably not get a beard. I have that too sometime.

That's what I thought I am rehoming her and the young splash to pet homes.

Wow what a guy glad you have him to replace the rooster you lost during the heat wave. I am happy I got these splashes from Leisha hopefully the little ones I hatched turn out nice. It looks like 5/10 still hold promise they are still young though. Wow 4 1/2 months he is one wide guy!

I think I'd be happy with him too. He's a nice looking boy Peter!

I wish I had taken pics of all of mine to keep track of how they've developed. I'm looking forward to Dick coming by to give them a look-see.
