When speaking of Bantams and the large fowl - is there alot of difference in the temeperament - flightiness - etc? - New to chickens and have pretty much narrowed things down to the Favs- but as i see it might be harder to find the LG's?

Is there a Favorelle breeder closer to SW VT area? Had to purchase my first round through a commercial hatchery but would like to get a few from a breeder.

too bad you couldn't have planned the Nat'l around the time of GenCon Indy at the beginning of August! i could ditch dh there for the 4-5 days that goes on and travel down to the show!

i'm sure he wouldn't mind the 22-23 hour trip with birds in the back of the car!

There is usually no shows in July and August. To hot.​

I was already planning on attending that show! My friend got his start in his Fantails there - so he is taking me - a list of breeders would be great - thank you so much for the help!

Is the five toes gene dominant? I ask because I have a pen of Bantam Salmon Favs from which I just hatched some chicks. One of the chicks was solid black and had five toes! The Favs are the only chickens I have with five toes, so it can't be that I just accidently put another kind of egg in the bator. I know you're going to say that another rooster must have snuck in somewhere and I can't 100% rule that out, since I do have a Modern Game rooster on the farm. I would sware he has had no access to my Salmons, but I think the black chick proves otherwise.... am I right?
