You are right she does an excellent job packing the eggs!
We really had a lot of fun with those chicks... all were re-homed... but they sure were cute!

Cloverleaf or Jeanine has gotten some better stock since then I think she probably sold all of the birds that were the parents of those. Not positive though and I think that Salmon Faverolles got bantam eggs.

Henry

Yep, I sold them all away. Only the rooster went to a breeder home, the girls were all sold as layers. My NEW and IMPROVED LF Fav flock is AMAZING!!!! Thanks to Dick and Melissa! Oh, and I have a lead on LF from Duane Urch line over here! Might try to pick up a couple girls, or even hatching eggs in the spring! Yahoo!!!

***blushing***thanks for the compliments on my packing job! I took it straight from janiemarie on here. Of all the packing methods I've received eggs in, it was my favorite, so that's how I do it.

Thank you for that tip. IT's really good to know this......PLEASE keep us posted as the the hatch!

Hi junebug7334

I could not have ask for the eggs to have been packaged any better. A+ for packaging!!!

If I dont get a very good hatch it will be the long trip as the eggs made a trip from Oregon to Tennessee and that will be of no fault to Clover Leaf Farms. I am very happy with Clover Leaf Farms !

Where are you in TN? I grew up in Burlison (north of Memphis). My family still lives there.

would like some feedback on these faverolles if anyone could help out

they are nearly impossible to find in canada, so these are from a hatchery

. the first photo is 2 pullets, the one one left is terrible (so much black) i wont be keeping her, but the one on the right is better (still not great i know), i really wanted some thoughts on the two cockerals mainly (one photo of each). not sure if any of them are even worth keeping unfortunatly. i have some nicer pullets im growing out that are much younger, from a breeder who used hatchery stock crossed with breeder stock, but i am hoping one of these cockerals is decent enough to use, as i have had NO luck finding any from better lines.

my copy of the standard of perfection does not have a photo of them

sorry to hear about your loss Henry!

i recently let my chickies out to see how well they would do to forage near the coop and my neighbor's Manchester terrier came over to greet my dog who was tied up away from the coop and run. and then he saw the girls and waltzed over to check them out. and boooy, did they not like that one bit! chickens running for the door and others under the coop while the terrier just watched the commotion! i was surprised to see he didn't chase them but his owner was trying to call him back and i think that over-rode his instinct to go for the birds. i wish my dog was better trained to obey certain commands but i still wouldn't trust him loose with my chickens. he thinks they are moving squeaky toys there for his entertainment.

Megs,

I personally like your first boy better. He has a nice wide chest that has clean color. I can't see the points on his comb well but he looks to have 5-6 from this angle. He has a nice clean triangle of white on his wing, but his beard has a little too much white in it. Its better then the rooster with a nearly all white beard though. I prefer more red in my boys, but that is personal opinion and a light boy like him would be better to breed to a dark female like what you have. I would keep the girl on the right if thats what you have, she has a cleaner chest and beard though she has a lot of dark color in her neck. If you breed them and are choosy about the chicks you breed/keep, I think these birds would work well for you.

I am still rather new to Faverolles in comparison to the other breeders here, but I hope that helps.
