As a side note I have 9 chicks growing out at a few different ages and just stuck 10 more eggs in the hatcher and have another 2 dozen or so in the bator set for 2 differnt hatch dates, all salmon. Those girls are really rolling out the eggs!! Will start the black breeding in a couple of weeks after they have time to really settle in. They are adjusting really well though.

Kassandra glad they are doing so well! Its hard being home with an empty coop but I am starting to be able to deal with it.

Thanks guys! I didnt really like the look of the roo I just didn't know if anybody knew more about them. It seems like there are not a whole lot of SF breeders around so I didn't know if somebody around here had posted them or knew who posted them. So on a different note......If you um accidently breed a salmon faverolles roo to a speckled sussex hen is this what you would get ...

I had a little hen go broody so I thought I would put some of my SF eggs under here. Well this is the product so Im fairly sure it wasnt the SF egg lol... OOPS! Any ideas what it will look like when its older?

For those with more experience than I what is your opinion of this guy? He's almost 4 months old. Sorry for the dark pics, I took them late in the day.

i think that boy is sweet looking Keesmom! if i had the room and you needed to find him a new home i would take him in a heartbeat! your splash boy certainly is cute! my Pixie is starting to look more and more like yours! i really need to get some updated pics of everyone! especially my cuckoo fav boy to get some opinions on his color and progress!

I really like him I think its a bantam cockerel he has a good beard and good wingset to. Glad the splash male still has a salmon girlfriend sorry you lost the splash girl. Those salmons girls look good.
