More Bantams these are from the bourlanger line. The LF are just for fun I am pretty serious about the bantams as evidenced by the fact that I have spent about $500 on birds and eggs since I got these hey I wouldn't spend my egg money or money on work on anything better and after I have the stock that I want the expenses will be very minimals food and water and stuff for basic care so that always makes me happy.
All my eggs are here, YAY! Everything is going in the incubator tonight: 14 LF Faverolles of various colors; 9 Blue Wheaten Ameraucanas; 17 Silkies of various colors. Yikes! That's 40 eggs! I don't know how that happened . . . Oh well, plenty of room for error right? I can hear myself explaining this to my husband now . . . " Well you know shipped eggs normally only average a 50% hatch rate and then half will probably be cockerels so we can eat them (except the Silkies of course - I won't mention that). So that's actually only 10 more hens, honey."
Henry, A. You need a bachelor pad for all the roos. I will be building mine shortly, I hate rehoming roos, unless I have too many
B. You need another coop. Maybe if you build one, more eggs can be your reward!
Cloverleaf Farm sent me pictures of the chicks I'm getting from her in a few days! My daughter has been asking about every five minutes when the chicks will come, LOL!
Kathleen, isn't it exciting , the waiting for the eggs, the putting them in the bator, stressing over temps and humidity for 21 days, seeing chicks hatch.....................it's so much fun!
