Anyone in Michigan want to sell a salmon hen or two, up to 2 yrs old? A hawk just got my only girl! I got her last egg under a broody now... But I loved my girl....

I just hatched my very first SPLASH bantam Fav chick!!!!!

It's also my first confirmed chick from my favorite blue boy, Tony...

Excellent! I have 9 more days of incubation left on my first hatch of 2012. I'm hoping to see a few little "redheads" in this batch.

I still have 10 more days until my next batch is due, which will include a few salmon / blue salmons, more b/b/s, and some BUFFS!!!! Can't wait!!

I am cranking up incubator #2 today so I can be incubating nonstop for a while. I have the new coop almost finished too so I'll have plenty of room this year!

Awesome! Yeah, I have the incubator in the brooder room, and the hatcher is next to my computer, so I can stare into it whenever I want! LOL Though I have to admit that this little splash baby hatched in the turner in the incubator!

I quite honestly forgot about it, because it was the only egg from that batch to make it to lockdown (small batch to begin with and testing fertility from a couple of different groups)...funny how we all fret over incubators and hatchers and humidity and whatnot, and this little goofball can hatch during a dry winter and in a dry incubator with no thermometer or hygrometer in it at all...I've had a few chicks hatch in the incubator over the last couple of years when I've been too tired when I got home from work, and I'll "lockdown tomorrow" and then they've hatched early...they never have a problem...maybe I should just start doing that....no more lockdowns! LOL No, I won't really, but sometimes it's sure tempting....
