So I am in the process of deciding about what two cockerels to keep. My boys came from Cloverleaf. One boy I had planned on keeping met with an unfortunate end. My fault for having him in a pen that was not secure. He was penned with my other keeper. Raccoon attack, I believe. My other boy survived. The one that survived, Lucien. Has great toe placement and a nice comb. I think his color is not bad. He seems light to me in build. He is thinner than his brothers. Is his type OK? His chest and back is not as wide as his brother's Frodo. #1
Frodo has bad toe placement not too nice of a comb, but he is huge compared to Lucien. I think his color is not so good. I am not sure but I think he has split wing. I hope I am calling it the right thing.
I will keep Frodo even if I do not use him for breeding. He is my favorite bird so far. #2
The two I had not planned on keeping are bigger than Lucien, but not the size of Frodo. One has pretty good toes so so comb, but he is very pretty. Much more fluffy than Lucien. fuller beard and I think better type. Who would you use? 1? 2? or 3?
