I'm in the wrong business! I need to sell my mini-cows and get sebbies

OOOO how about a trade? (Actually can't have them here (no hoofstock) but I always wanted a family cow), The sebbies are a great way to provide a bit extra $ for the chicken projects, best part is they mostly eat oats and rabbit pellets in the winter which are super cheap compared to chicken feed

They were Sandhill stock? As gorgeous as they look, it sounds like a lot of work. I wouldn't even know which issue to address first

I just hate having a beautiful bird that doesn't fit into any color variety, frustrating. This summer I lost a young SF hen, she was spotted. I think if I'd had a pair of them, I probably would've started my first project.

As AshandVine said earlier, "so many birds, so little of everything else!"

Yeah, I have a specific project in mind for bantams, will need some decent blacks for it if anyone knows of any... otherwise it is all salmon all the time in the Favs

I was told they were Sandhill, but I had them shipped from a woman in California so who knows

Ok so I went out and looked at the birds again and tried to picture them in 4 weeks... I changed my mind and I am entering a few, but if they look like crap I will be scratching them and leaving them home. They are on their conditioning for breeding diet so they are getting great grub, just going to add some BOS and cat food to see if I can get the rest of the pin feathers to hurry up and finish. Be my first time showing at the Congress show. I will be entering:
1. sebbie gander
2. black cochin bantam pullet
3. LF salmon fav pullet 1
4. LF salmon pullet 2
5. LF salmon cockerel
6. LF salmon hen

but that is it! LOL

Well, this should be fun! I have four LF salmon pullets, and one hen, with a bantam cock. We should pick out a time and place to meet up, like at the end of the Fav aisle. (So Dick can pull out all of our birds and give us critiques. Right, Dick?

Jeanine has some Blacks and blues from Leisha, Dick's old stock. Not sure who else ended up with blacks in bantam size.

Great to see you'll be entering some. Sending my entry form. Just to pullets. Don't be embarrassed mine won't be in show condition. Just bringing them for fun ha ha.

Here are some pictures of the faverolles moved into their bigger coop.

They are beautiful birds Henry. Nice meeting you at CM Saturday. Hopefully our schedules will line up some time for a visit with the Favs.

Made progress on my radiant floor "keep the nipples on the water pipe and eggs in the box from freezing" nest box but ran out of time last night. Had to put it up as an open 4' community box or they wouldn't have any water. Wife says they are picking on each other in the box. Guess I have to get some dividers in there. They have seemed to be OK in the 4' closed community box, maybe because there is little light in it.

I sent a bunch of bantam blues, blacks and a couple whites to Andrew Hamilton and Charles Logan this past spring. LF blacks of course went to elizmartin.
