Mine don't go broody at all, so I'm no help. Not sure who has some that like to brood.

Welp, seems like I got 4 faverolles hens and 7 Roos. Seems like this is the type of ratio with all my hatchings. Anyway, I guess I'll be eating 5 of those Roos at least they're meat birds :/

I understand...my ratio of hens to roos has either been right down the middle or roo heavy.

My hatchery stock hen from last year. One went broody and hatched out chicks for me and is currently being a surro mama to other chicks.

Huh, I was expecting different answers! They're historically broody aren't they? Perhaps I'll search out the lines and do some more digging

I have a hatchery girl who is broody for the first time. She seems committed, it's been a good week and a half since she's' been glued to the nest!
(she's missing her beard, I think my barnies decided she needed a "shave")

Mine don't really have a good spot to go broody.
That's why I think they only go a few hours.
The nest boxes are roll out, so they really have to work to keep the eggs gathered into a clutch.
