Faverolles Thread

My Faverolles are just like that, really my salmon, Diamond. She looks guilty when you catch her stealing your lunch too, she pauses and runs off with that weird wobble they have.

lol i guess they all run like that, i noticed mine have it too

I bought a pretty little Salmon hen at a local Flock Swap for $12 a few months back. She's in my Silkie coop right now, but I'm holding out hopes that I can find her a man soon... :} I love her to pieces!

This is not a breed I currently have. Although they do look great. While researching them, I did see a post for show quality trios located in Sparta TN.

It would depend on what you want out of them. For a backyard flock they are fine. If you want to show you may want to shop around.

The one in my avatar reminded me particularly of my miss Gossie! <3

It seems that it may be harder than I thought to track down some more Faverolles... at least around here anyway. Maybe I can luck out on some hatching eggs this Spring? I'm sure my Silkie gals would happily hatch them for me!

I don't know exactly where central nc is. (raleigh/durham?) but i'm planning on hatching a bunch of favs this spring. (fingers crossed)

Actually, I'm near the Asheboro area, in Randleman. Not many people are familiar with it lol!
