Faverolles Thread

You seem to have been visited by the same cockerel fairy that has been here. Lucky us!

Haha this is the only batch of Faverolles I hatched this year that I was intending on keeping and wouldn't you know it- I got 8 cockerels out of 12.

At least we will have plenty to choose from!

Thank you. The ones in the last photo are Blue Salmon cockerels. They all are from Coastline Poultry. I love their Faverolles but I am a little disappointed in this hatch because it looks like only a couple of the cockerels are going to have decent beards. The rest have little to no beards, and some of them are growing waddles. I know that Blue Salmon flocks will occasionally throw non-bearded but I didn't expect that I would end up with this many. :idunno

The pullet in the first photo is the result of a Coastline rooster over a Cackle Hatchery hen. I think she turned out very pretty!

My SF cockerel! I've always loved the breed but this is my first time owning them.
I'm not sure about his quality, my mom got me some eggs from a breeder to hatch as a surprise. He's really friendly and calm now, but I hope he stays that way when he grows up!
I hatched a pullet as well, but she won't hold still for a picture

They are just our pet's.. Just wondered.. It's not only their disposition that has lured me to them but also their bearded muff's & featherd feet, like one of our favorite girl's Clair. Here she is raising some isbar's & Splash Wheaten Ameraucana, For egg color

So far how many egg's do ya all get per week? From what we have read they are good- very good layers.

The one in front looks like a Mille Fleur D'uccle. My hubby wants one they are adorable.

Yes She is a Mille,, she is the sweetest thing..
Oh, has anyone heard about that bird flu in your area.. We haven't watched T.V. So, is it just mass producing farms, or local or both?? I could go on line and read, but I would rather catch up on BYC.. A client mentioned it was here in Arizona, then I aske someone who would know, they said not confirmed.. Plus we have duck's.. I'm thinking it's to hot here, but I know noting..
