Your birds are all so beautiful, especially your rooster and pullet #4! I love her beard! With the last two pullets, if they are not breeder quality, what do you do with them...do they just remain as pets?

Right now they are hanging with the main flock

. I am not posative they aren't breeder quality. If someone who has had splash salmon can chime in and tell me what they think of her. I would love to keep her in the pen because she will produce more splashes which are really beautiful. I WANT EVERYONES OPINIONS PLEASE!!! I am still developing my eye for these birds and its going to take me a while as I am still new to the breed. These two birds are just don't look the same and so I have to ask questions about them

I really like both their beards and they have perfect toe placment so they may well stay in the breeding pen permentantly.

Thanks,
Henry

Weird how?

~ Nikki

Hey Nikki it may just be the pictures that I took I will have to go look at them again in the morning! I am defently still developing my eye for them so I 100% defer to your opinion do you think they should stay in the breeding pen? I really can't decide unitil I learn more about the breed and get my Standard of Perfection. Also what size bands did you get for these guys? The more I think back I am realizing I took those pictures on my phone instead of the nice digital camera I will snap some glamour shots like I did with the other birds so these girls have a fighting chance

Also the pictures of the splash (is she splash?) girl are at an angle I was talking about her tail carriage being high but now I am pictureing her standing in real life and its no higher then the other birds. What do you think? I love her and she is beautiful I still am confused by the splash salmons though.

Thanks,
Henry

Just realized I already posted all of those pictures a little ways back stupid me editing it now but please keep it going ha ha

I love my Roo and after looking through the pics, I sure wish I had a Faverolle hen for him. Roo is pretty attached to Mama Cass (a non-Faverolle hen) though and she hatched one Faverolle mix baby roo. Im still hoping for a pullet Faverolle mix from them.

Yikes, my girls don't want their beards touched... I sold a 16 week old pullet a few days ago and had just got her calmed down after taking her away from her sisters, and in petting her I stroked her beard; she was indignant! Has anyone else noticed this?

We're going to let the nice Banty Fav Roo go, if the right home comes along. He is lovely and I will post pics. I want to stick with Standards.

Thanks again for this thread!

Robin I still have some available, and hope to hatch more in the spring. I'm just north of Santa Rosa. The pics I posted so far aren't the best. More to come!
