I only candle my eggs once, occasionally twice. I definitely check them when they come out of the turner, sometimes I'll check around day 10. Other than that I leave them alone.

Thats whats going to happen next time for sure. Hopefully overhandeling was the main problem.

I don't own any Faverolles, but love the look of them and the way you guys talk about there sweet personalities. Can you keep blue salmon and salmon together in one pen and still get only blue salmon and salmon chicks? Hope that doesn't sound ridiculous... Sort of like keeping blue, black and splash of a breed together?

i had incubator issues last year and this year i'm hoping that having a broody hen will make a better difference with the developing chicks. while it is supposed to be warm next week i'll be checking to see what is developing under her.

i hope she has been doing a good job out there!

now i'm just hoping one of my LF brahmas will go broody for me by next week so i can sneak those new eggs under her! she's been showing signs that she might just do it!

They were from Nikki and some from me to. Hopefully I get a few from the 12 I am selling my hova and LG and switching over to the brinsea setup​

Since my hatch went south I think I am going to get a brinsea ECO incubator at the beginin of Febuary or when I get the money. Hopefully that will make it easier for me to monotor temps and humidity. I would have already ordered it but adult faverolles are expensive to ship

if I am able to sell a few more orders or hatching eggs in the next two weeks and also sell one of the incubators I should be able to afford it.

We do have Faverolles, here. What about frost? It's worse than snow.
