i would love to join and it doesn't seem too expensive. but right now i'm just trying to add to my flock of faverolles first. when my dh has a job again i might just go and get a few adult birds shipped to add to the blood lines. here's hoping the interview he had of Friday (along with his fortune cookie's prediction

) is a good sign of things to come!

Henry, do you know if they have regular meetings or a newsletter that they send out once in a while?

I just joined the club and got the first newsletter it wasn't really great but that may be because it was just anoucing that the president was stepping down and Leisha was stepping up. I haven't got most of my membership stuff hopefully there is a breeders directory or something we will see.

Henry, I am going to be ready as soon as you are. The second pullet has a bright red comb and from my experience it is a monkey see, monkey do, thing with eggs. She should not be far behind.

The Faverolle Fancier Newsletter did mentions that the members need to vote on Leisha, I would imagine it is a foregone conclusion but please vote and lets encourage others to join, They will be needing a Secretary now, Right?

Hopefully in about 10 more days I will have lots of little brothers and sisters for him/her. I will let you know when I am ready.

The way I understood the newsletter was that he stepped down imediatly and Leisha is the new interm president. I would assume she is going to be the permanent president though because honestly who else will be? I would bet they need a new secratary that would be rediculous to expect Leisha to do both. I really hope everyone who reads this thread will join and bring club membership and activity up.

ah, the days of being in an organization. they probably cannot have her doing both positions due to bylaws and such.

funny that the organization i was in used to call retired members 'exhausted roosters'!
