Chickie'sMoma :

wooo hooo! hooray for the dogs! at least they have that fox's number! basset hounds are good at tracking things like foxes and other pests. the only thing i can expect my dog to track down are mostly rodents! and if i ever lose a chicken he would probably track it.

good thing i got those eggs from you yesterday!

ha ha they will be fine the coops is going to move into the electric fence and he is really scared of the dogs epeacialy after they ran him into his hole.

This is my great foxhunter.

He doesn't care about much, but he goes crazy when there's a fox in the neighborhood. He does let us know when something is after the birds too, even if it's something he won't chase.

He and my old roo Moe have something worked out where they listen to each other. Dutch barks, Moe is on patrol. Moe squawks, Dutch is on the alert. Two old boys working together!

I had a dog just like that that lived next door his name was dutch to. I am so happy the girls don't bother the chickens at all and they always let us know if anything is really close to the house.

Ha, Dutch is a real original name for the breed. Seems they're all named Dutch or Keesha.

a neighbor of mine had 3 of them, Ace, Casina and i can't remember the 3rd one but it was casino related. such sweet dogs.

Henry, the eggs are in the bator and i can't wait to see the cute fuzzy butts when they hatch!

split the girls into a blue salmon and salmon flock. I tried to introduce them into one big flock today and the pretty new boy got his *&^ kicked and comb bloodied. SO the blue salmon cockeral got moved into the chicken tractor and the handsome new boy is inside until he recovers a bit from the beating he took. I also gave him a bath today. Hopefully I will have pure salmons soon

I will be hatching mostly from that flock for a little because he has some really nice hens in with him.
