Email Peter he will actually probably be on to answer this question tommorow. I am interested as well. I have been looking for a toe that goes almost straight back not out to the side I also know you need to look for an upright toe not a flat or droopy toe. I will try and get foot pictures soon.

Henry

Straight back like long Mexican spurs of yesteryear LOL!

Here's some pics of the Hattrick chicks. They're almost 10 days old now, and obviously don't want to sit still for pics.

And the one lone 1 day old sussex chick, who is the same size!

LOL I can not think of any other way how to explain it. Them LONG spurs of the Mexicans, yeeeeeeow on those poor horses or they must be of decorative purposes only. Some were almost a foot long shanks and rowels to the heels.

All I know that they should NOT be downward or interfering with their gaits. It is almost like extra LONG spurs on old roosters which they get a hoppy gait to clear their long spurs. Awful to watch!

That sounds horrible glad mine don't have any of that.

It was an OLD Silver Spangled Hamburg Bantam rooster I had bought along with three other girls and I gave him away which the lady twisted the spurs off from him and now he walks normally. He lived out his old life until earlier this year, he passed away. I kept the girls, didn''t want a roo but the lady threw him with the package and said he is FREE LOL!
