Faverolles Thread

Cool. He is not doing showmanship. he would just be showing her in her appropriate class. So he would have the rooster in his correct class, then her in the AOV. That would work.

I am just so glad that he will be able to show her. This is the breed he wanted and I have tried for so long to find them. Very hard to do here in Ohio. This pair just fell in my lap and I am just thrilled.

You all are the best, thanks again for all the input! Hopefully I will be hatching some of her eggs soon

You had a hard time in Ohio that's the faverolles capital of the USA some of the best breeders are in Ohio. Did you get your pair from Leisha Comer? I know she is in Ohio and has blues and salmons. Congrats on the pair its an amazing breed! Hope you and your son enjoy them.

Thanks, I will try and post a pic, not very good at it though! LOL

Actually I am getting a pair from Leisha in May!!!! She is the only one I could find though.......I must not be looking in the right spots!

She is one of the only ones with blue and black faverolles. Jeff Oxley, Leisha, Rose Isgrig and others have salmons. You won't regret getting birds from Leisha I have a great pair of salmons and blue salmon from her. I am waiting to see if I can get a pair of Buff or blue birds from her as well. Are you getting blacks or salmons?

Ya defently try and get at least one salmon girl you could do that and get a blue or black cockerel for your black girl. I am most interested in some buff or white faverolles.

I just emailed Leisha to see if I could get the 2 pullets/hens. Told her if that I doesn't work for her, I will still take the pair. I am just so darn happy about getting them for me and my son!!!!!!!!

but I got 5 eggs and they were all great hanging out under the coop outside and coming inside to sip water. Also I have 7 new silver penciled rock bantam chicks and D'uccles eggs. I candled my fav eggs and I have mixed feelings about the results before the next shipment goes out I am going to put the old blue salmon boy over a few more hens to add to fertility. The new rooster is used to having one hen at a time not 7 or 8 so I am going to bring him down to 3 or 4 hens.
