Finally had time to catch up on the thread and saw this.
I'm so sorry for your loss!
I hope they're doing ok in chick heaven right now. They looked so sweet!
I got my Buffington & Boulanger Boys a few weeks ago, and haven't posted because I still don't have pictures! I can send you eggs by them but my girls are hatchery quality. My plan was to hatch girls from your eggs to go with these guys.
The Buffington boy attacks me, so I call him Fractious (I think the original Fractious was a Boulanger bird, but this guy fits the name). He's settled a bit with a hen in his pen, but I don't go near him in the daylight!
This weekend I will get out the camera so you all can see them.
Meanwhile, does anyone have pics comparing Boulanger & Buffington Hen type?
hello everyone. I just built a little run for my 4 week old chicks. (to get out in the fresh air in the daytime until I finish their outside home. ) I have been putting them back in the brooder at night and when the weather is wet or chilly. I have 3 standard faves that I hatched along with a surprise of two black jersey giants. I have to many roos! I really, really love my boys I never hatched eggs before and I have gotten quite attached. I only got 2 pullets out of the mix and only one of them is a Fav. I am new to having chickens and the other five I have are white Marans that are about 19 months old. I am thinking I should separtate my 2 black giants (1 roo and 1 pullet) but the other 2 roos I am worried about. Any advise on how many pullets I should try to locate to keep my boys happy and should I separate them out so they dont fight and when ? I am full of questions
Oh .. and how do you post pics on here? Any help would be appreciated.

Google didn't find anything for me...yet.
Thanks Laurie...It'll be ok, I have 6 pullets growing out, and 2 boys from Melissa's line, and the cockerel that was already in the pen with the girls. I also got rid of the 2 girls that were not quite up to par, so there's just a trio in the breeding pen right now, but the girls that are left in there have good beards and toes...yay!
Glad your new boys are doing good - wow, I've never heard of a Fav roo attacking someone before! You might have to
I am selling my blue salmon pair because I am getting into the blacks, blues, splashes, lavender project, and salmon and I don't have room! I have the Leisha Comer Cockerel and the HattrickSilkies hen these are the pair that I chose as my blue salmon breeders and they are very very nice. Hope someone on BYC wants them I will ship them shipping is $50 and I would like to get $50 for the pair because they are very very nice! I posted in the BYC BST section but no one really responded. The cockerel beard has filled out even more then in this picture its huge now.
