I was about 5 pages behind on this thread... and I have it set for extra long pages! I'm happy to see how well everyone is doing, happy to see Leisha here (and sad she's needing medical treatment

My 2 dozen eggs from Dick arrived Wednesday & started incubating yesterday. I may give some to a broody (2 new broodies in the last 2 weeks!) so the rest can turn properly. I have F1 & F2, so have to decide which eggs to put under a hen. The R-com 20 is supposed to hold 20, but it holds 18 of these babies. My Fav pullet eggs are about 50 grams, these eggs are all around 60! That means 6 outside or in the old Brower.... just bought it a new wafer and haven't installed & tested it yet, so I think the broody would be safer for now. I want 100% hatch, 22 pullets, 2 cockerels. I don't ask much, heh.

Hugs to all!
Laurie

Sending good hatching vibes your way Laurie!! On Dicks eggs, 14 went to lockdown (out of 16) and 12 hatched! Two of those were under a broody. I had 1 F1 that didn't hatch, and 1 F2. And get this...I ended up with 2 cockerels and 10 pullets!!!!!!!!!

This is why you need to go to The Faverolles national show. Usually that's were you would see most of the Faverolles and you get to meet breeders from all over the country.
Dick

Yes the Faverolles National is in Bellevidere, Illinois this year on September 11th and 12th. I myself have never been to this show, but alot of members told me this is a nice show. Everyone has been real nice helping me get the National set up.
It would be nice to meet some of you that is on the thread. The 2011 National meet will be in Indianapolis, Indiana the later part of October. This is the 2nd annual Crossroads show. The 1st one was unbelievable.

You know, we're getting lots more Favs out west...Just sayin'...

Good. I took 6 of my young 5 month old pullets to get them some showing experience. They did very good. Lewis Cunningham commented on all of them and couldn't decided which one he was going to put first, second, etc. I had him thinking. I love when I make a judge stop and think and actually for once look at a Faverolles.
