If it has yellow on it, it is a black

A pretty little blue with nice toes and nice little beard. No obvious culls yet so I have to wait a few weeks.

I saw your post over there, and didn't respond because I am still growing out my babies. I already sold all the adults that I had. I won't have hatching eggs until late in the fall, or early 2011... check out pasofinofarms birds, they are gorgeous. www.nonesuchfarm.net

Looks like this time next year we'll all have a bunch! I just have two LF Salmon ladies laying now. The dark hen hatched out 4 chicks and is out in the yard with them now. (She's the one who went broody during our vacation).

Why did you get rid of all of your adults?

Good morning everyone. I hope everyone had a safe and Happy 4th. We had a huge party with all my husbands family. It lasted for 3 maybe still today with a few of them. They came from Montana, Florida, California and Tennessee.

There were things about each of them that I didn't care for, and knowing that I had some nice birds from Melissa and would be hatching from Dick, I decided to just start over. Two of my hens were throwing beardless babies, one of the hens I could have kept and probably gotten nice babies from her, but the other 2 were from McCallums, had lots of black specks through beards and breast, and then the 2 boys, well the one VERY nice roo I had, I didn't like his attitude (though he went to someone who was going to show and breed him, so I felt good about that), and the other one was the one I just sold yesterday to cowhoss that was really light, and he would go great with her dark hatchery females (one of the sweetest roos I've ever had though - he even gave "hugs"). I have lots of young boys to choose from that already have better combs than that light roo, and perfect toes...I just don't have enough room to keep everyone, unfortunately...someday I will though...

One of my salmon males. They need a lot of work, but it's a start.

The "Three Amigos". It would have been a perfect picture except the guy in back decided to shake his head.
