I know what you mean. Orpington??????? No matter. I just needed the lavender gene from a large fowl bird and this is all I could find, I WILL make this into Faverolles.....It will take a while, but nothing comes easy.

Well I showed my two Salmon Faverolles and my male got DQ'd. I did not notice a small partially split comb and my pullet got Res. Champ Coninental in Open and Champ. Continental in Youth. I want to acquire good Salmons in largefowl, preferably a pair, trio, or quad since I will be giving away my current male. Anyone have any youngsters available?

Dick, I'm working on getting pics of my guys loaded so I can post them. I would appreciate any advice you may have for improvement on beard/muff...Mine seem to have a bit less than whats required, but then again, as you stated above, it dosent come easy

Ok, first pic is of a splash hen who's hatchmate to the lavender in second pic. 3rd is of my black girl who appears to have a bit of gold lacing around neck. I took pics last night while they were on the roost, so you cant really see their body shape, feet feathering, ect. Eventually I'll post more photos tho. Ok, 'fire away' I'm ready for whatever you all have to throw at me

Looks like your off to a good start. Need work on the beards. The beards and muffs should look like three separate parts. Maybe its the picture but I seem to see a black feather in the neck of the lavender. From what I've read about lavenders is if the bird in question has any black feathers then its really a blue splash. Lavender should replace any black feathers. Do you have pictures of the parents?

he can be "super" but still NOT AN ORP! He's the sire of what I've got. Leghorn tail so that will have to be tended to down the line.

Hey Peter, how's it going? This medicine is kicking my butt. Can't sleep. So I thought I would ask you how your hatches are going?
