there ya have it in a nut shell. It'lll be funky for a while yet. But aren't they worth it!

You bet ya. I have the pullets with nice big heads, but I wish I could get the cockerels down in size a little bit.

Leisha these pullets are the best! I got one beardless pullet and one with no leg feathering when I hatched but that's to be expected I think. Can't imagine what they would have looked like without the hard work Dick and Peter put into them.

Since I lost the chicks I needed a rooster that wasn't a full sibling to my splashes and I took the opportunity to get some more hens to

But I am plotting how to get them up to VT after thanksgiving I am thinking about renting a stall or putting it on the south side of the schools dairy barn. Or having them build me a nice coop on top of the dorm because my dorm already has bee's and a garden on the roof why not chickens?

Ha ha I am sure they will be up there soon its not just chickens I am like that about almost anything farming related ha ha you should see the looks I get when I am this enthusiastic about tomatoes and peppers

I really want to make cheese thats my dream job we will see what happens University of Vermont house an artisanal cheese school. I decided to do Environmental Studies because I can choose many more of my classes then if I were a dairy science major.

kinda stink. Peter, your correct, going through a 50 pic cam and only get 3, maybe 4 good shots, LOL, fun fun fun. We're expecting lots of storms today so I'm not 100% certian I can get more pics of the crowing-crew, but will do my best

Most of the hens will have horizontal wings. Watch how far back they go, is the lenth of the primary feathers extend to their butt? You need to hatch a lot and cull hard. Pick your hens with the shortest lenth. It's a long process. I had it in my bantams years ago, but when I started breeding the large Faverolles I lost site of the bantams and for years didn't hatch many. Now I'm trying to get back there. Hatched 17 bantam salmons and only ended up with 4 males. After they moult I need to look over the females with a hard eye on their wing lenth. We'll see how many I keep.

They look good to me a wider more soft feathered appearance is nice. Your pictures are fine to.
