They look like splash salmon pullets to me actually. I think you got the first batch of eggs I ever sent out.

Yes, they both look to be splash salmon. Like mine.

Paired with the salmon will give you 100% blue salmon chicks. Paired with the blue salmon will give 50% blue salmon and 50% splash salmon.

White hides a lot. One or both of your whites carries salmon. As I found out black can hide salmon too.

I can't wrap my head around breeding two birds of the same color together and not getting chicks the same color.

Here are some updated LF salmon pics. They didn't come out as well as I had hoped. It's not easy to take pics of moving targets.

I have one boy who is really dark, more so than the others. His hackles and saddle feathers are more silver than the rest too. Unfortunately I'm not sure the difference can really be seen in these pics. He's on the right in the first and center in the second.
