Guess I love em all. That splash/salmon gir does have a touch of color to tail feathers, but also lots of white mixed in too. Her beard and top of hear (from crest back behind head) is snow white, so is her fanny, legs and tummy, so not sure just yet...will wait and see I guess.

Gootz, thanks hun...I'm kinda smitten w/her too LOL.

That poor lav/blue, whatever she is, pullet is slow to mature and still molting with new feathers coming in. Not sure I'll be keeping her yet...need to watch development over the next couple months than make a "keep or cull" decision. More than likely she's find a new home though.
Camelot, does your salm/splsh girl have all the white on head/beard, ect like my gal?? Just curious

So Henry... I'll be in Maryland for the first time next week and you won't be there...

I'm going to be cheering on Glenn Beck next Saturday at the Lincoln Memorial.

Yep ironic isn't it! Have a good time in MD I don't plan on coming back often I am certainly not a southerner in personality of constitution. I am sweating sitting inside in the AC now I can't wait to get to VT! Cold and snow doesn't bother me heat and humidity does.

Good luck w/everything Henry. Sounds like a new adventure, but also sounds a bit scarey. How you feeling about the move and new people, classes, ect?

I really do love the type on both that black and splash can't repeat it enough 2 years with those results its amazing GOOD JOB! Ha ha poor lav girl she does looks scruffy I am starting to reconsider working with Lavender haven't decided yet. They are just so frizzy and have poor feather quality but the color is so beautiful I will have to think about that one for a while. I won't be able to hatch until Winter break maybe I can get some Christmas eggs from you if they are laying then probably not though is it cold in missouri? My hens always pick up laying again in January/ February but we will see how that plays out this year.

I always get nervous I have gone to school for a semester away from home and lived with a roommate there so its not a 1st time like it is for many kids. I love Vermont and I have family 10 minuets away from school. I am excited and of course nervous whenever I get into new situations though it always seems to turn out well. I am not shy at all and I know how to have a good time to so thats a bonus ha ha. Just hope I don't have to good of a time and lose focus. I am much more nervous about classes then the people or the place if I am on my academic game and have my focus I am a straight A student but if I fall behind for a second and can't catch up my grades plummet like you wouldn't believe. I am dyslexic and ADD but I don't have it bad enough that I think I need medication and I also don't get extra time or anything like that I have been diagnosed and had taken medication all through middle school and high school but if I can find a quiet place to study away from a lot of distraction I can make it through with out medication. Thanks for the well wishes I am sure I will be fine my main struggle has been taking classes I am not interested in and most of the classes I am in now are a whole new subject to me so that should keep me engaged.

Thanks hun...I like them a lot also, and of course my salmons and blu/salms. Everyone except the lavy has been laying. I hatched and interesting 'blue' color today that I know isn't a blu/salm...raised enough of them to know what they are. The new blk chick looks promising too, nice FULL beard for a tot, good toes and just such a wide little terd already. I'm kinda thinking about sticking with the regular colors and of course the blacks/splash, HOWEVER I would also like to work on a deep mahogany color as well. LOL, I'm sure I've lost my mind on that one! Wait a min...I already lost it I forgot

I also have 'sometimers' which is wonderful...because sometimes I can actually recall things

Leisha is doing some test matings she has a mahogany rooster and she is breeding him over some dark salmons! Its actually really possible to get mahoganies. Good to hear you hatched some promising chicks. I might be on later been having trouble sleeping these past few nights knowing that this is the last time I will probably REALLY be living in this house!
