Neither are in the US. We may have Ermine a few years from now if all goes well. I'm not sure if anyone is working on birchen.

I dream of Mille Fleur Faverolles . . . *sigh* maybe one day.

Tracy,

My hatchery pullets started laying at 22 weeks but my pullets that I hatched from a breeder did not begin to lay until 26 weeks.

My breeder pullets didnt start laying about 26 to 36 weeks of age...well worth the wait and do they ever lay!!!!

pretend that I am brand new to Faverolles in general. ( Have been lurking and dabbling for a few years. Most with hatchery birds. Getting some soon that will excellent from a breeder.)

What should a newby know?

Thanks in advance!

Talk to the breeders who have been doing it the longest. Like Dick Boulanger and Peter. They are amazing resources who know more about breeding and showing faverolles. Also like Robin said always keep your eyes and ears open.
