A friend of mine did this last minute with eggs that were only a few days away from hatching, and she did fine.

Well see what the bator looks like in the AM. If it's still a lonely chick i've got some week old orps and can get a smaller one to put with it for a few days until it's getting around good and can go in with all the new chicks.

Hi All
I will be candling my eggs tonight

. These eggs made a very long trip ( Oregon to Tennessee ) around 2500 miles by road. So I am trying not to get my hopes up to high

. I will post the results later tonight when it is time to turn them.
