Ultasol - no, unfortunately the Favs on champ row weren't mine, but they do belong to another member of the Fav club. I really think that once she fills out a little more my Fav pullet with give those other birds a good run for their money though!

Hey now, I have been on Champion row with my bantams 3 times this year. It is very competitive with the cochins and the wilkies in my neck of the woods. So when I get up there, I know the judge is paying attention to them.

I am in VT but I don't have Faverolles the closest people are probably in MA. Cindy has Salmon LF, and Blue, black, splash Bantams. Dick has some other colors as well but as he said won't have much till spring. There is also someone in Maine with buff bantams and salmon bantams.

Henry

TY.. Do U sell chickens ? What kind do U have ( if I may ask ) Where R U in VT ? I am in Grafton county, NH, near the VT boarder of the town of Newbury

that's what I was gonna say!! And like leisha had said to me also. You've gotta get huge class of favs up there. Or as many as possible. Make it an "in your face" experience for the judge. The more he has to look at, the better he has to know the standard, or the quicker he has to learn it. Just like at the illini poultry show, Matt lahmon told leisha she made him work for it. That's how it should be.

Someone suggested that we put a laminated copy of the standard on the row with our birds. Not sure if the judge would appreciate or be offended for doubting his knowledge. My guess is closer to the later, but who knows. I'm a newbie so just my opinion with a little help!!

That's why it was so cool to see such a large group of Favs at our show...WAAAAAAAAY over here on the West coast! LOL

One way to do your idea more subtly is if you have a table set up somewhere with breed info/photos/etc. Once the club gets to a point where we are having state and district meets, that's definitely something I think we should do....Leisha....

Leisha had a table with info set up at the fav national.

Speaking of info.... Henry did anything ever come of the pamphlets that your buddy was going to try and design for the club??
