been too docile and will occasionally squat with the wings out like a hen. but i have also seen it mount the other girls it is in with but has not crowed in front of me, also has roo-ish looking feathers in the saddle and hackle areas and the tail looks sort of male. got the 5 toes, small beard but does have a beard and muff! i need to get some pics to show how the project is progressing.

The hen was a Wheaten Marans. Here is a picture of one of the Marans/Fav chicks:

Today is day 21 for my bantam salmon faverolles eggs. So far 4 pips out of seven eggs!! I can't wait for them to start hatching.

Thanks. I am trying to find something to do other than stare at the incubator. One is pipped at the wrong end of the egg, so I am really watching that one.
