All I'm doing right now is concentrating on salmons. Getting ready for the 2011 National.

Thats good don't know how people do so much with so many breeds I think they lose quality you have got to focus on one thing to do really well. Hope you do extremely well at the 2011 nationals hopefully I will make it.

Plain yougurt, kefir, or (my favorite) viili piima, a Finnish cultured milk like kefir only better to my taste buds, with chick feed sprinkled over the top at first. Once they know what it is they mob it when they see the dish coming. Today they got goat cheese that didn't get wrapped in time.

I am first seeing how many Dick wants since they originally came from him and then you are next

OK I'll wait & see. If you happen to have any extra LF Salmon pullets, I have room for more... I managed to hatch one girl to 4 boys this year.
Thanks

My Mahoganys came from me working on the buff line. I just bred the males back to salmon hens. I didn't hatch many, but I recall my last hatch, all males were Mohogany and all females looked like salmon hens. I didn't have the redish colored hens. I even showed a few as salmons, no one could tell the difference. I would think if I would have hatched a lot of the Mahoganies I could have got some regular salmon males which probably would have more red or a darker red on them. There is a picture on this thread somewhere of one of my Mahogany males.

I agree Dick. A mahogany hen should be a darker rich red. I got my guy breeding a salmon roo to a buff hen, to try and get something to help with the buffs. I think I have about 3 of them from these buff eggs I am hatching.
