Faverolles Thread

No problem LifeSong Farm. As for the shows in Indiana you have the following:
Central Indiana Poultry Show in Lebanon- We have been hosting this show with the Akers and our 4-H poultry club for 4 years. We had over 1600 birds this year in a one day show!
Gateway Poultry Association in Bloomington-Usually in April I believe. It's one of the first shows of the season
The Indiana State Fair
White River Poultry Club show in Spencer
Indiana Poultry Breeders Association in Connersville
Hoosier poultry breeders in Connersville
And Matt John started a new show. I believe it is in April too. I don't know the details.
And this year the BIGGEST OF THEM ALL! THE CROSSROADS JOINT APA-ABA NATIONAL IN INDIANAPOLIS! YOU BET I'LL BE THERE!

Anyway, you have 7 shows to chose from. Kentuckiana should be mentioned too. To get all of the show listing you should subscribe to Poultry Press. It has all the show club advertising for show dates as well as show coverage with the champions ads and pictures.

To much black in the tail.......I tend to differ. Maybe in the show pen but I feel in the breeding pen you need it to keep your cockerels tails black after they moult.

Just a 2cent thought here OR, a DUMBXXX question here, but doesent "form follows function, and beauty follows that"? apply when breeding anything??? Please DO correct me if I'm wrong.

well on the judging question. we're not licensed however you only have to have 50% licensed judges at any show..

Yes, misty, form to function and then pretty. you don't need to hide under the chair dear. peter's done with the tirade. smirk. thank you all l for letting that patch up quickly. i didn't hold to my own promise of being easier. i will try harder. i think dick might even come back out from under the chair....

The standard we have for our large Faverolles originated from England, hence the salmon brown. The standard we have for our bantams originated from Germany, hence the salmon pink. This is where the confusion comes in for the judges.
