WOW.
I just wanted to post these pictures, and share my amazement. I knew that Faverolles went through a growth spurt when they got older, but I didn't know how much! It's like having a whole different rooster!

Both of these roosters just hit 1 yr old.

And the white one is still growing. He's a late bloomer. \\: It took him 8 months to learn how to crow, and he still hasn't figured out what he thinks about the ladies either.

I'm so glad, because they had both looked pretty scrawny for a while. I wasn't sure about keeping them.

One of my little black hens decided to be broody. My first fav to go broody. So I gave her a day to stick to the nest with that days eggs and that night replaced the eggs with some call duck eggs. We'll see, she can't do any worse than I do! Lol. Anyhow 4 days later and she's still hard at it. She's a good girl and gets up and eats and goes right back to it. When I've checked on her she doesn't growl or squawk or anything. She even had half an egg hanging out from under her backside and I reached in and pushed it back under her and she just puffed a little. No pecking. Such a sweetie!

Yep. I was just about dine hatching their eggs anyway. Need more calls though!
