Yeah, I "should"....depends on how many more hatches I do. I shut my incubator off the other day, but I might fire it up for one more batch of bantams. I only have 4 pullets right now that are going into the breeder pen, and I need to cull a couple of breeders, but when I have "extra" girls, I'll let you know first...

Hello Heather, soo sorry too...I have recently lost about a third of my adults that have been outside for about 2 months under cover. Not sure why.Flu like symptoms, have bleached everywhere...... The survivors are fine now after about 2 weeks of special care but will need to have them tested. Great-fully i have their young separate still in the barn but am afraid to move them. They were next & near to several other pens....no other breeds of chickens were affected, just the Favs....the temps/ moisture have been wild but not as bad as your area.....Am glad i had my craigs list birds on the other side of the yard....(baby turkeys & roos)...

I used alot of Emergen C and the packets of chick saver electrolytes....forced them to drink. Yes Jeanine, i still have Blue & daughter getting well, but did lose his partner....have 2 blue boyz and another girl from them in barn thank goodness.

BTW, Heather, did i gather from an earlier message that you may be prego???? Congratulations :) eliz

Just thought I would update. Turns out this one was a girl after all. The BYC'er who now has her is reporting in that she still looks girly at 17 weeks old. Ah well.

ETA: Will you be offering any eggs from anything in the near future?

Once the boys are old enough I'll have blue / black (Going to put that blue boy with my black hens from Leisha for starters). Otherwise just have the salmon/ blue salmon in bantams for now...
