Interesting color those Mahoganies.

Just a question about roo temperament from you experienced Fav owners. Do you find the roos take good care of their hens? I mean are they nice to them? I have been trying a few different breeds and I do not like roos that are aggressive to the hens. One of the many reasons I like my Araucanas is because they seem to treat their hens so well. I realize it has to do with the individual rooster, but do you in general find your roosters to be kind to the girls?

I know that my little man is the best of the three males I've had so far. I had a Japanese, who was also very sweet, and a Seabright mix, who was a disaster. This fav guy is great, although he does take advantage of his "privileges." He's always watching out for them, taking head counts, calling when he's found a snack. Not cranky with me, either.

Hey everyone I'm 16 years old and this year I am looking to show at the bigger shows such as State Regional shows etc. I love Faverolles and they are above all my favorite breed. I was just wondering if anyone had any exhibition quality birds. Large fowl Salmon colored. My avatat is of my rooster I love him but his beard never seems to stay and his wattles are too big and the hens all have splashing in their beards and side sprigs so I am looking for any advice with breeding out these problems also! Thank you so much everyone I appreciate any advice or directions to breeders.

Where in Rhode Island are you located. I'm in Douglas MA.
