Faverolles Thread

Never thought of raising Favorelles. And was suppose to receive eggs from Dick Boulanger and to get them to a friend who was at the Greenville Ohio Poultry Show this weekend. Dick sent them for $31 to my address last Tuesday priority, and they just arrived today. My friend is a Canadian who knows who has good birds and totally understood that neither Dick nor I were to blame for the USPS tardiness.
So, now I guess I am to see IF there are any of these eggs which are still fertile. I got 3 dozen to throw in an incubator and with any luck a few will have survived. Already have 250 plus eggs in my incubators of mostly Orps. And now Favs. Being so close to Ron Patterson, IF any hatch I guess I will be getting some birds from Ron to add to this new to me breed.
Hope you all are having a FAVULOUS day!!

wow. I'm sorry you had trouble with the delivery, but I really hope I'm not reading that post the way it seemed you meant it. Dick's a marvelous person, and one of the leaders of this small community of faverolles enthusiasts. His depth of knowledge about this breed is unfathomable. So, please be careful how you phrase posts in the future to avoid potential confusion.

I was hoping to say it is the fault of the US POSTAL system. not Dick. I agree Dick is one of the few that makes the hobby worth while.
This is what I said on my post, that you obviously are talking about
"My friend is a Canadian who knows who has good birds and totally understood that neither Dick nor I were to blame for the USPS tardiness."
What are you saying about my post that is difficult to interpret???

That is awesome that chance led you to get some faverolles eggs. Hope they still do alright and you get a few. They really are a great breed and Dick has some really amazing birds. Hopefully they do alright and you get a few. Totally understand and understood from this post that you weren't blaming Dick. He really is great! Ron also has some good birds. Hope you get some to hatch and catch fav fever.

Good luck!
Henry

I don't think he mean't it to be offensive at all. How could it be Dicks fault. For sure USPS they can be flakes for sure.

Thanks Henry.!!
I know both Jonathan and Ron very well. And can always count of them to steer me thru culling.
I will let you all know how it goes. I got 2 strains from Dick. One is a cross between a Peter Merlin male and 3 females of Dicks.
