Faverolles Thread

This is a a picture of a 10 wk old LF Fav boy. Are thyey supposed to have dark streaks through their neck feathers?
The boys change a TON before they are mature. What their neck feathers look like now may not be anything like how they end up.

Hi bird-brain ;)

Yes, I believe he's "way cool junior!" - and, TexasLea, that song tells your age (and mine too!).....I have 3 of them

Thank you for answering, that makes me feel better :-)

It could be worse. At least this year's male/female ratio is right about 50/50. A few years ago I had one hatching season with 85% males.
Whew! We had an exact split as well. We only started with 15 eggs, 12 hatched and an even 6/6 split. All have survived, but one roo has a cross beak, however. he currently is the biggest and most dominate (81/2 weeks old).

bird-brain. I think you do have boys, yes. Maybe the breeder can take them back?
I am never never going to take another fav pullet with black on their wings...ugh.
I am so sorry they got sicks!
