I have a beauteous Salmon Faverolle Rooster named Mooch. He hatched in October of last year. He is 10 months old now and has never crowed. He doesn't make any sounds. He is a beauteous bird in excellent health and is as sweet as sugar

. Do any of you have a SF roo that is silent? I have several other roos he lives with in my flock who are very vocal - not SF's but other breeds - They crow their heads off - which I adore

I had a silent Faverolles roo last year from Terry Gerow, who has an outstanding Faverolles flock in Canada. Walter died, unfortunately, so I now have a young roo from Ron Patterson. Einstein is not silent, but only crows a few times between 7:30 and 8:30 in the morning; I just keep him in the coop until after 9 to avoid disturbing the neighbors.

Here is a pic of my Faverolle. Is he a cockerel? He needs a home too.

Face shot.

These pics are about 3 weeks old, but my camera is dead. He has a very red comb and I can see wattles. Oh, and you cant see it in the pic, but his beard is starting to turn black. He is a little less than 2 months in this pic. My Orpington doesn't have a comb or wattles like that...
