Faverolles Thread

I know someone recently asked this question, but I don't remember if it got answered.... I was kinda wondering the same....

I have 3 SF pullets that are about 22 weeks old. Isn't that considered POL for SF? - Will they lay soon, or will they wait until spring?

You've got a few more weeks to go, but you're getting close. :)

Hey guys got some new pictures of the boys today from my friend who is looking out for them at her farm. There are just crappy cell photos of them. But I thought they were looking good. Especially the one in the solo shot.

Here are some photos of the girls I snapped today.

I think those boys are looking good. I love the short wide stance. So far most of my boys have been much taller and leaner. I hope to get more short and wide like they appear to be. You must be so excited.

Oh and of course lovely ladies.

Thanks. I am really impressed with the stance on one of the males. Yeah the short wide look is the best. I am really impressed with the birds both the males from Peter and of course the ladies from Keesmom and Dick. Thank you to all three of them!
I am really excited about this perspective mating:

Now those will be some fat sassy chicks.

I think it all depends on genetics and location on how early they start laying. I have a pretty old Marans who isn't laying yet. It also depends on the individual birds as well. Your just lucky haha.
