Hello!
I’m assuming I have one of each gender in my salmon favorelles. Would like an opinion before I sell them tho!

They are currently 3 weeks old.
I assume chick 1 is a boy, chick 2 is a girl.
Thanks!

Way too early to tell at 3 weeks. You can usually tell by comb development, but that isn't until 5-6 weeks.

Looks like you are trying to feather sex them. This can't be done unless your chicks come from a population that was selectively bred to allow for correct feather sexing. Most commercial hatcheries don't do this, so if you got them from a hatchery, you're better off waiting until they're older to be sure. Good luck!

Salmon favorelles can be sexed by colour as early as 3 weeks. At least as told by pip and grow, a breeder in aus. So this is what I was wanting confirmation on. :)
