It is religious. It would not be if the question was what are your favorite quotes from ANY great book.

The Bible is a religious book; restricting the discussion to it, makes this a discussion about religion, and about Christianity specifically, and more than likely, people who study the Bible specifically.

As the Op I do see how some would view this as a religious thread. That is why I stated it would not be. If you can not see fit to keep the Bible as a book and just a book please don't join the conversation. I could have asked what your favorite Shakespeare passage was but I didn't. I just want to know your favorite passage from the BOOK the Bible is. It is that easy.
