Favorite Bible verses?

With all respect, I would suggest that those who actually believe what is written in the Bible and have favorite verses post here, and those who think it is historical fiction or some other anomaly move on to another thread. There really isn't a way to discuss the Bible without religion being a part of it. It costs nothing to just move on to another topic.

I personally will be moving on to another thread, preferably one about chickens, since this is foremost a chicken forum. I don't think religion or politics belong on a backyard chickens forum, but apparently I am in the minority.

If north is up on a map then you are holding it wrong.

All maps are meant to be read layed flat an rotated to where the compass rose matches a compass.

Maps are oriented on the page to best fit the page. If you choose to read a map with north always pointed up, thats fine but that dont make north up.

Well the maps I grew up looking at hanging on the wall .....north was always up at the top of the map. And now days I hold a map so that north is up.

Have no fear ranchie.....it's already going from a "discussion" on religion to a "discussion" on whether I'm holding my maps incorrectly.

I have two favorites:
Luke 2:11 For unto you is born this day in the City of David a Savior which is Christ the Lord.
(Could we ask for better news as humans???)
and
Psalms 51:9-12 Hide thy face from my sins and blot out all mine iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, o God, and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence, and take not thy Holy Spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation and uphold me with thy free spirit.
