Favorite Chicken Breed?

I really like Orpingtons, especially buff and chocolate!

But I’d have to say, my overall favorite is Cuckoo Marans!
Super consistent layers, friendly, sweet, and the darkest chocolaty eggs!

In the heat, my legbars (Opal and cream) seems to do exceptionally well. They are agile, but very friendly if socialized early, blue eggs. And who doesn't love a chicken with a toupee!

The sweetest I ever had was a RIR (in the picture). But that was my first breed, so I was over the top affectionate with them from the start. So just goes to show you it is about the birds individual personality, and how they are raised sometimes more than the breed.

For production, I can say leghorns- but they are too loud for me (or at least mine is).
